Today I am looking over my notes from last year’s Can-Fit-Pro Conference, with my specific focus on the topic of Pre-menopause and the many “Benefits of Resistance Training for Women“, as better explained by the well-known Dr. Len Kravitz.

A lot of women do not want to do any kind of weight training and/or resistant training, but this is so important to include as part of your exercise program – especially when you are Pre-menopausal.

The main benefits include,

  • increasing your bone mineral density
  • increasing your bone mineral density
  • a decrease in your body fat storage
  • increase in muscle volume to replace fat
  • strength increase for better balance
  • an increase in endurance – no more out of breath when climbing stairs
  • insulin sensitivity will increase – prevents TYPE II diabetes
  • good cholesterol increases – heart health

YOU are NEVER too old to begin exercising.
