3-Mindfulness Tips For A Balanced Lifestyle
My top 3-mindfulness techniques are a must for creating a balanced lifestyle in this current stressful world we live in,
- Take three to five minutes every day or when you are feeling extremely stressed to focus on your breathing. Be aware of taking slow, deep inhales and slow exhales. Close your eyes if you wish. Notice with each breath how your heart rate decreases and your tight shoulders become more relaxed.
- Feel the positive energies of nature. Go outside for a walk or find a place to sit where you can close your eyes and clear your mind. Listen to the sounds all around you – the birds, kids playing – feel the warmth of the sun on your face and the breeze on your skin. Tune out all your stresses and fully focus on the moment.
- Body Scanning. Lie down comfortably on your back with your arms and hands relaxed at your sides and your legs lying flat on the floor, with your feet relaxed. Beginning at the top of your head, you are going to focus on tightening different parts of your body, one at a time, and then relaxing again before moving onto another body part, Once you have worked all the way down your body, ending with your toes, you do one final full body tightening and then relaxing. Make sure to breathe through this whole exercise.
